I am 46, and it wasn’t until I was in my 40s that I realised that I am enough the way I am right now. At 40 you discover a new found sense of freedom and wisdom, and realise who on earth gets to tell you what to do, what to wear, how to act and what is acceptable or not? When you think about who decides these unrealistic beauty standards and rules for women at different ages, you realise how silly it all is….
And BOOM! you discover this new sense of freedom, where you write your own rules and standards because there is no one better than you !
I don’t want other women to wait till they are 40 and over, and for those of us who are 40 and over, I don’t want you to wait any longer. No matter your size, your shape, your age, your body… you are beautiful and amazing and enough just the way you are right now! Right now!
So forget losing a bit of weight before you do your photoshoot. Start appreciating and loving your body, and yourself now! You can do this by simply standing infront of the mirror and exploring your body every day. Look at your body and say, this is me, this is who I am and I am enough. I am good enough.
